01 Why do I need to pay for Data History Extension?
Our pricing model is simple and fair: we only charge you for your current active contacts per month. Unlike other platforms (like ManyChat) that charge for cumulative contacts (which includes all your old contacts), we believe you should only pay for what you're actively using. However, storing old chat conversations and order history requires database storage, which has ongoing costs. When you have thousands of old messages and orders, this storage cost accumulates over time. ManyChat and similar platforms may seem cheaper at first, but they charge you for cumulative contacts - meaning you pay for ALL contacts you've ever had, including old inactive ones. With ChatOuts, your charges don't grow over time. You only pay for your current active usage. If you want to keep your historical data, the Data History Extension covers the small storage cost (just a few dollars per month) for maintaining your database.
02 How do I change my subscription plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time directly from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
03 How do I cancel the Data History Extension?
You can toggle the Data History Extension off in your billing dashboard. Your data will be retained according to your base plan's retention period (90 days for most plans).
04 If my old data is deleted from Chatouts, is it gone from Facebook too?
No, your conversations remain on the social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Chatouts only deletes the data from its own database to save you storage costs.
